Mandolinist

Biography

Federico Maddaluno was born in 1999. When he was a child he studied music with his father, and later, when he was eight he studied mandolin with an high-calibre teacher who is Nunzio Reina. Federico graduated with top marks and honors, at the age of eighteen, resulting currently the youngest musician graduated in mandolin, with Fabio Menditto from “San Pietro a Majella” Conservatoire in Naples. In 2016, Federico got an important success at the participation at the final phases of the Music Competition “TIM” in Torin, where the jury considered his interpretations “at the highest level of professionalism about the dynamics, phrasing and technique”, he also resulted the only Italian and the only soloist among mandolins, guitars and domra’players. Federico also took part and won a several number of music competitions among which we mention;

  • 27/04/2015 – 3° Concorso Europeo di esecuzione musicale “Jacopo Napoli” – 1° Prize in the Mandolin Section
  • 28/04/2015 – 3° Concorso Europeo di esecuzione musicale “Jacopo Napoli” – 1° Prize in the Chamber Music Section
  • 05/05/2015 – 25° Concorso Internazionale per Giovani Musicisti “Città di Barletta” – 1° Premio in the Mandolin/Guitar section
  • 07/05/2015 – 25° Concorso Internazionale per Giovani Musicisti “Città di Barletta” – 1° Prize in the Duo section
  • 30/05/2015 – 20° Concorso di Esecuzione Musicale “Rotary Club Teramo est” – 1° Prize in the Soloist section 30/05/2015 20° Concorso di Esecuzione Musicale “Rotary Club Teramo est” – 1° Absolute Prize, in the Duo section
  • 18/06/2015 –  “Junior Saluzzo Music Pizzico Competicion” – 1° Absolute Prize in the Soloist section
  • 21/11/2015 “6th International Guitrare Competition Edition Acerra” 1° Absolute Prize in the Duo section
  • 25-26/03/2016 “2°Concorso Internazionale per Mandolino Solo” Premio M. Policarpo 1° Prize
  • 2-3/04/2016 “1°Concorso Musicale Nazionale di strumenti a pizzico” Estudiantina Bergamasca” 1°Absolute Prize in the Soloist section, and also receiving the Special Prize “R.Calace”
  • 2-3/04/2016 “1°Concorso Musicale Nazionale di strumenti a pizzico” Estudiantina Bergamasca” 1°Absolute Prize in the Duo section .
